Richard Horvath, Our CEO Joins the Fight Against Cancer

The American Cancer Society estimates that about 281,550 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer with women being most of those cases. However, breast cancer also affects men as well. This bleak outlook doesn’t mean we have to accept these numbers, so that’s why TheeCommerce is joining the fight.

Real Men Wear Pink

TheeCommerce owner and president, Richard Horvath is proud to be part of Real Men Wear Pink of Central & Eastern NC. Founded by men that are dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer, RMWP is comprised of leaders in our community who are committed to raise money for the American Cancer Society to help end this awful disease that affects so many in our lives. The ACS saves thousands of lives annually with early detection and prevention services, research funding and patient support. In over five years, RMWP of Central & Eastern NC has raised over $500,000 to help in this cause.

How Does it Work?

Men from many backgrounds, including business owners, healthcare providers, and media professionals, are nominated (or they nominate themselves) to join in this fight. In order to continue to grow the drive and increase the amount raised, the Previous RMWP candidates frequently nominate new leaders. Each man involved has a minimum of $2,500 goal, but there’s clearly no limit on how much can be raised. There’s also a healthy competition among these competitive community leaders to challenge themselves to see who can raise the most for this cause.

A Message from TheeDigital President, Richard Horvath

Want to Know Why I Wear Pink?

There’s not likely to be any family that hasn’t been affected by breast cancer in some way, regardless of whether you’re a man or a woman. This is the reason that I am involved with RMWP, and is why I donate my time and resources to fight breast cancer. I am fortunate to be in position where I can be a difference-maker in my community. In raising money and awareness through Real Men Wear Pink, I feel that I am making a positive influence in helping save lives from breast cancer.

Why Do I Support the American Cancer Society?

The American Cancer Society is saving more lives from breast cancer than ever before, and in more ways than ever. Through free information that helps take steps to reduce their risk, or by early detection where cancer is more treatable, the ACS is doing their part when and where people desperately need it. They also fund groundbreaking research for breast cancer and are working to ensure much-needed access to mammograms for women who need them.
